Pigi grew up in Athens, where homemade bread, cakes and savoury pitas were part of everyday life; her grandmother taught her to bake bread and tsoureki and all the sweet and savoury classics of Greek cooking. She taught them in workshops in Athens, and now cooks with guests in the big kitchen of her Altbau flat in Kreuzberg. You are welcomed with Greek mountain tea and a short introduction to the menu, then everyone cooks together: koulouri Thessalonikis (vegan sesame rings), spanakopita (vegetarian), moussaka, tzatziki and a Greek salad, and a sweet surprise for dessert, with tips and tricks to take home. Greek red and white wine is poured while you cook, and there is ouzo and tsipouro too. Then everyone sits down at one long table and eats together, so plan about five hours: three of cooking, and a long, generous meal. Small groups of up to ten; teams, birthdays and private groups can also book their own weekday evening.
