Elena and Giulia are interior designers and architects who opened their own studio two years ago, and for the last year and a half they have worked from Fuldastraße in Neukölln. Both love working with their hands: Elena with ceramics, Giulia with textiles and wood. Now they are bringing that into workshops, starting with their Paper Light Night: in three hours you decorate your own paper lamp. After a short introduction to the techniques you choose your colour palette, cut, tear and lay out the pieces, then glue them, playing with layering, transparency and pattern, and finish with a drink while you look at the lamps together. The lamp frame, decorative papers in many textures and colours, glue, tools and the ready-wired fitting are included, plus tea and drinks, and you go home with a lamp that is ready to hang. Once a month, for up to ten people (each lamp needs its own space), taught in English, with questions also answered in German, Italian, French and Spanish. More formats are on the way, with textiles, fabric, paper and stamps they carve themselves. Teams, birthdays and private groups can book their own date. Once booked, a ticket is not refunded, but you can use it for a later date.
