Realistic pencil portraits with Alessia Sinopoli

An Italian artist based in Berlin teaching realistic portrait drawing from photographic references — a structured method rather than a knack. You work the grid for proportion, learn what pencils of different hardness actually do, and spend most of the afternoon on shading and hatching, which is where a portrait turns from flat to solid. Eight people at most, so the guidance follows your own way of drawing; beginners and improvers both. Professional materials, printed references, tea and a sweet treat at the break are all provided.
