A Berlin–Japan craft community that brings Japanese artisans and their traditions to Berlin: kintsugi, the gold-seamed repair of broken ceramics; contemporary Sōgetsu ikebana; gold leaf laid by hand on washi; chopsticks planed from fragrant hinoki; Tokyo Yūzen hand-dyeing; natural Kusaki-zome dyeing; mizuhiki cord knots; a hanko seal designed live with a seal maker in Japan; and miso packed into your own cedar barrel. Several sessions are taught by artisans visiting from Japan. Most run at MisoLab in Prenzlauer Berg or at Craftkai’s Berlin craft days.
