Mareen learned to forge jewellery in Santiago de Chile in 2013 and has been making it by hand ever since, in brass, silver and gold. She teaches two formats at Studio Blinkblink in Wedding. In the longer one you cut, shape and solder metal and go home with a ring, a pendant or a pair of earrings you made yourself. In the shorter one you carve a ring in wax — it is cast afterwards and posted to you, and because the wax is lost in the casting no two can ever be the same. No experience needed; brass is included and silver is weighed on the day. Mostly Mondays, and any format can be booked privately for a birthday, a hen do or a team.
